Scene 2: Hines goes to different factories, and takes pictures of the emaciated kids working in the terrible conditions. He wants to bring awareness and end child labor with these pictures.
Scene 3: After getting distracted by Floyd coughing, Martha mangles her fingers in the machine she is using. The overseer doesn't care when he sees her, but gets upset that she could've broken the machine.
Scene4: Hines goes to a glasswork factory in Virginia. When he takes pictures, the boss there doesn't like it. The boss tells him to leave and shoves him out.
Scene 6: Martha and Leo just got home, to rest for a few hours before going back to work. After working for 12 hours, Martha only recieved 42 cents, and that must've been good because her parents were really happy.
Scene 2: Hines is now mostly forgotten across the US for his work and is broke. He finds out that they created a new child labor law that would protect kids from working in those terrible conditions. He soon dies after that.
