The Cask of the Amontilldo
"I have received a pipe of what passes for Amontillado and I have my doubts."
"How? Amontillado? A pipe? Impossible!"
Montresor led Fortunado down to were he said he kept the wine, in his families catacombs. He sent all of the attendants of his house to the fair.
Montresor offers Fortunado some wine to help his cough as they walk to were the Amontillado is. Montresor makes a toast to Fortunato's, "long life".
They continue on their way and Montresor tells Fortunado that his family's motto is, "Nemo me impune lacessit" which means, No one harms me unpunished.
They finally get to were the Amontillado is suppose to be and Montresor lures Fortunado into a tiny room and chains him to the wall.
Montresor's begins to build a wall caging Fortunato in the small room. Fortunato thinks it is a joke and tries to laugh it off. He then begins to come to the realization that he is being buried behind a stone wall. Montresor mocks him as he finishes the wall and then throws in his torch. No one finds Fortunado for 50 years.
