Storyboard Text

  • Family Dinner Gone Wrong
  • "There's a child, a boy. An eight-year-old boy. He lives here in town with his mother. And I'm his father.
  • A Spontaneous Train Ride
  • I had taken the train into the city only a few times in my entire life.
  • A Desperate Phone Call
  • Well, hold on now. You wait right there. I'll be out to get you in a jiff.
  • Grandpa, it's Lucy. Your granddaughter, remember?
  • Lucy and her family have dinner when conversation takes a dramatic turn. Lucy and her sister just found out they have an eight year old half-brother!
  • Your father was going to come up today get you - but I asked him to give us a couple days. I was just getting to know my granddaughter, I told him.
  • Lucy decides that the best way to get the information she wanted, was to take the train up to Maine to see her alienated Grand-Father. Without her phone and without telling her parents.
  • Lucy fell asleep on the train and missed her stop. She ends up in Belfast and finds herself out of money. After finding a phone booth gives her grandfather an unexpected call with quite the story attached. He gets her location and heads out to go and get her.
  • We'll have to see how your grandfather is doing in the morning, we might have to wait another day.
  • Lucy's grandfather calls her parents to let them know she's safe and in Maine. Her father was outraged but agreed to give her a few days to visit with her grandfather.
  • That sounds like him.
  • During a rock walk Lucy and her Grandpa went on, he starts to fall ill and ends up falling and hitting his head and hurting his back severely. Lucy has to run back to shore and get help.
  • Grandpa, I'm going to run up and get some help. I want you to stay right here and not move till I get back. Okay?
  • After riding in an ambulance to the hospital, Lucy contacts her father and tells him what happened. He got there as soon as he could, still not happy with her running to Maine stunt she pulled without telling them.
