The twin brothers Romulus and Remus sons of the war god, Mars, are born to Princess Rhea Silvia.
I want to build the city on Aventine Hill.
No! I want to build it on Palatine Hill!
The king was afraid that the twins would betray him and overthrow him. So, he had them sent to die in the Tiber River.
The boys are rescued by a wolf. The wolf protected them from wild animals and fed them.
R O M A
When boys got older they wanted to start a new city. However, they could not agree on where they would build it. They sought the gods for help.
But, the gods did not help them. Romulus and Remus get into a huge argument one day after Remus made fun of Romulus. Remus is betrayed by his own brother when Romulus killed him.
Romulus decides to proceed with building the city. He builds it on Palatine Hill and names the city after himself: Roma.
