Jose was on lunch break as the crime happened. He found the body, and was the one to call cops. He was mainly used to identify that a robbery happened. Jose noticed that the cigarette cartons are missing , and the register was open.
Lorelle Henry went to trial , and was a big deflate on the chance of him winning the case. She saw him walk in , and out of the store. She also saw Bobo, and James walk in the store. She was a very admissible testimony.
.This is Steve's first time seeing his dad since getting arrested. This was a very emotional time for Steve . His dad was talking about his plans for Steve, and how if he gets arrested it all goes down the drain. Steve cries because he fells as if he let him down.
Steve is on the stand , and he tells the truth. He explains the whole plan out to the jury .His main selling point of him not being guilty is he made no signal. He just walked in and out and went home .So essentially he didn't do anything. He was probably the hardest verdict for the jury due to the fact he agreed with the plan, but didn't do anything he agreed to do .
Both attorneys said there final statement , and supported there claims. This scene was very dramatic they dint even include dialog. It just stated peoples facial expression. This the end of the book, and where feels guilty. He feels bad about the fact he left an old lady in the store who could've died.
