  • French Revolution Intro
  • Factors Leading To The Revolution
  • Meeting Of The Estates General
  • The French Revolution happened in 1789-99. It was a revolution about the monarchy that they had at the time and planned to over throw it.
  • The Tennis Court Oath
  • Bad weather, crop failure, and high taxes, were the main reasons that the revolution started.
  • The Storming Of The Bastille
  • The king, Louis XVI called for the Estates General Meeting, which had not been done in a century. The Third Estate, otherwise known as the commoners left.
  • The Great Fear
  • When the Third Estate was locked out of the Estates Generals Meeting, they broke into a tennis court and claimed it as the National Assembly's meeting place. They made an oath saying that they wouldn't leave untill they made a new constitution.
  • The French commoners stormed this building to get gunpowder. This is now called the start of the revolution.
  • Rumors spread that the nobles hired outlaws to invade the commoners. But in the irony, the peasants became the outlaws by burning the nobles houses.
