  • Teachers should get paid more because they teach our nation's future.
  • The McKinsey report found that starting teacher salaries have not kept pace with those in other fields.
  • The disparities in teacher pay may lead to difficulties in attracting and retaining teachers in states with the lowest pay, especially where teachers are paid relatively worse than college‐educated workers in other occupations. 
  • There is a clear lack of information; (5) When given the latest per-student spending information, voters are less likely to say public school funding is at a level that is "too low," compared to answering without having such information;
  • Union leaders have given the Oklahoma state legislature an April 1 deadline to pass a funding package that includes a $10,000 pay raise over three years for teachers and a $200 million boost to public schools. If that doesn't happen, teachers across the state will walk out of their classrooms, and will not return until they get what they're asking for, union officials pledge.
  • Teachers pay is not what is should be or what it was and its salary is decreasing fast.
  • In many states around the world teachers are constantly leaving teaching behind for other careers because of low wages.
  • Clearly to get teachers low pay up voters need to understand why the salary is so low.
  • In some states educators are going on kind of a strike if you will and have threatened to walk out after a certain amount of time if their pay requirements are not met.
  • Educators all around the world will never be satisfied with the low pay the district has to offer due to their degrees they have been to school for years to receive just under 40,000 a year.
