Thats great Mary. Well how come you're not sure? Didn't you do an experiment to find out?
Hey Johnny, I'm doing an experiment on how different plant species interact with one another and I think I figured it out, but I'm not 100% sure!
Oh I see. Well you are right to be hesitant. Often times we need to study lots of plants to be sure of our results, and 10 is not nearly enough to be sure about how they interact with one another
Well yes I did. But I only studied 10 plants so I'm not sure if my results are entirely accurate.
You should check out this awesome site for ecologists. Its called Big Data and it takes experimental results from scientists like you and me and lets everyone access them. That way you can study more than 10 plants and be confident in your results.
Oh wow, thats awesome! So I can study as many plants as I'd like by using the data that other scientists have collected?
