  • Gregor Mendel discovered that when his homozygous yellow and pink flowers had babies they were all pink showing that pink is the dominant trait and yellow is the reciessve.

  • After the first round of reproduction, we are able to see that the pink colour gene is the dominant trait and the yellow colour gene is the recessive trait. Therefore, the pink trait is the dominant allele.
  • In this box we are able to see the thrid round of the reproduction cycle. The genotype of the flower codes for the pink phenotype
  • We are able to see that when we do the reproduction cycle for the third time that we receive one yellow flower and three pinks. This is because when we cross the genotypes of the parents there is one out of four flowers that is going to receive the yellow gene
