You have received an invite to join the closed group: Hate on Hannah club
Do you accept this invite?
Shannon knows that what she has been invited into is a form of cyber bullying called denigration.
She does not accept the invite
Shannon thinks she should go to a teacher she trusts, and tell them what has happened and ask for some help
You have definitely done the right thing Shannon, telling someone you trust who is a teacher or parent is a great way to stop and prevent cyber bullying occurring. Do you have any proof of the page?
Mr Brain, I have been invited to a "hate Hannah club" on Facebook, I didn't accept it but I want it to stop, what do I do?
I will gather the students involved in this group and inform them that their actions are cyber bullying. It is important that the students recognise their actions as cuber bullying and to apologise to Hannah.
Later that day the principal has asked to meet the owners of the group page to inform them of their actions and the consequences of their actions. Shannon helped to overcome this situation by raising the issue to an authoritative figure who helped solve the bullying.
