The process of photosynesis
Photosynthesis is the process by which plants make their food
To make food plants need Carbon dioxide (CO2), water (H2O) and sunlight
Carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air enters the plant through pores in the leaves called stomata
The water enters the roots and travels through the stem to the leaf
Energy from the sun enters the chloroplasts of the leaf
When sunlight, water and carbon dioxide combine a chemical change takes place
Sugar is made and sent to the rest of the plant
Oxygen is released from the leaves into the atmosphere
6CO2 + 6H2O = C6H12O6 + 6O2
