  • Please Hades, leave me be.
  • Come with me, my dear Persephone.
  • Persephone my daughter, come home!
  • What seems to be the problem Demeter?
  • My daughter, Hades took her Zeus.
  • Persephone was a lovely young goddess who lived with her mother, Demeter, the Earth goddess. One day, she was playing alone in the gardens. Hades, God of the Underworld, captured Persephone to be his wife.
  • Eat my dear, eat.
  • Persephone!
  • Demeter looked for her beloved daughter day and night, and forgot to make things grow. The weather grew cold and chilly, and it became the first winter.
  • NO!
  • One day , a shepard gave Demeter Persephone's belt, saying it was found by a entrace to the Underworld. She instantly knew it was Hades doing, and went to Zeus.
  • I love you.
  • How I miss my daughter...
  • Zeus allowed Demeter to fetch her daughter from Hades, since she had threatened that she wouldn't make anything grow anymore.
  • But it was too late, Persephone had already eaten pomegranate seeds while in the Underworld. And according to laws, if a person ate pomegranate seeds, she shall not leave the Underworld.Demeter refused to make anything grow without her daughter, so the gods made an agreement.
  • Persephone would have to stay in the Underworld that many months from the number of seeds she ate. But could be with her mother for the rest of the mouths that year. So when Demeter and her daughter were together, spring and summer can alive. But when she left, it grew cold.
