The british decided they needed a new strategy. So they decided to move the war to the south. They left Lord Charles Cornwallis to take them.
Greene led Cornwallis's troops on an exhausting chase through and around the forest. Soon French allies came and helped the americans.
Some guerrilla soldiers helped the americans win. Later on, the british signed a treaty proving that america was an independent union.
