Prometheus played a trick on Zeus and the Olympian Gods to help mankind. He present Zeus with two offerings. The first was disguised the finest cuts of beef inside of the stomach of a cow and the second disguised cow bones in fat. The second offering looked more appealing so Zeus chose it. From that day forward humans would keep the edible parts of the meat and sacrifice the inedible parts of the meat. This angered Zeus.
Zeus decided to get back at Prometheus and mankind by hiding fire from them. Without fire men were unable to keep warm or cook food, so Prometheus decided to steal back fire.
This annoyed Zeus more and he decided to create a trick of his own and curse mankind, this curse was Pandora.
Pandora was a women created by the Gods. She was beautiful and charming on the outside but cold and malicious on the inside. Just how the Gods had intended. Pandora was Given a Jar full of misery and Sickness, she was ordered to open it as soon as she reached earth.
Pandora was offered to Epimethius as a bride and he happily accepted so when Pandora reached earth she opened the jar releasing misery and suffering upon mankind.
Once everything was released the only thing that remained at the bottom of the jar was hope and Pandora closed it trapping hope inside and way from mankind.
