  • The Cell Theory is used to identify and explain many different conclusions.
  • There are two major types of cells; an eukaryotic and an prokaryotic cell.
  • Cells are the basic unit of life and are found in every living thing. Our body has about 100 trillion different cells. Our cells die each day, only for them to reproduce. Cells are very hard to see without a magnification. They can range between 1 - 100 micrometers in size.
  • The cell theory is made up of facts that were discovered during the 1800s. The cell theory assists scientists in describing and explaining their observations of living things. In addition, this theory is a factor in biology and is used to explain and describe many different concepts.
  • Only eukaryotic cells contain a membrane-bound nucleus and organelles, whereas a prokaryotic cell does not.
