The tale takes place in 'a very olden time' in a kingdom ruled by a king. (par 1). The king found out about the love between his daughter and man. The king did not like this and seized the man. (par 7).
You There! You are under arrest.
The princess and the man were in love with each other. The princess rose her right hand to signalize that the door right was the one that did not have a tiger in it. No one saw her raise her hand but the man because they were all focused on the him. (par 16).
One door has a tiger, one has a woman. You decide your own fate.
Immediately, the man went to the door on the left and opened it. (par 17). A woman stepped out ready to marry him, but he refused. The princess helped the man and let him live, but was in grief.
The man fell on his knees and begged the king to let him marry his daughter, the princess. The king realized what he was doing was wrong and realized how much they loved each other and he approved.
The man and the princess got married. The king was happy for the couple.
The married couple lived happily far from the kingdom rasing two children.
