Mr Enfield and Utterson are out walking when they pass a strange door and Enfield talks about Mr Hyde trampling a small girl who he then pays a £100 cheque in someone else's name.
Chapter Four: The Carew Murder Case
As Utterson is a lawyer he looks at Dr Jekyll will and discovers everything has been left to Mr Hyde. He then watches the door and sees Hyde unlock it. So he goes to warn Jekyll but Poole says they have been told to obey Hyde.
Chapter Five: Incident of the latter
Two weeks later Utterson goes to a dinner party and tells Jekyll about his concerns, but he laughs them off.
Almost a year later, Carew is murdered in the street by Hyde. Utterson identify's the murder weapon as Dr Jekyll's, and Hyde goes missing.
