Mohammad Ramjan was born in Kolkata, British India in 1935
His Father, Mr. Ramjan worked as a police officer in Britain trying to maintain his family.
Mohammad and his family witnessed a lot of riots growing up, there were mobs, and trucks of dead bodies on almost a regular basis.
Mohammad and his family would hide in the graveyard for days to try to stay safe from all the chaos.
After all this turmoil Ramjan and his family took a train to Dhaka, East Pakistan and Mohammads father became a taxi driver.
After the war of 1971 Mohammad and his family moved to the Geneva camp in Mohammadpur, Dhaka where they seemed to find happiness and peace for the first time in a while.
