  • Stamp Act 1765-1766
  • I am forced to do this under British laws!!
  • Why are we paying taxes?! This is foolish ! 
  • You tax collector! You will be dead if you do not oppose of this stamp act!
  • Boston Tea Party 1773
  • This has gone far enough! 
  • Lets dump all of the tea. They will not take our freedom from us!
  • The "intolerable Acts" 
  • Listen Up! I want no ship trespassing through here! 
  • Keep a close eye around here. For only British ships may pass through here!
  • Tax introduced on legal documents to help pay for defense of colonies. Americans were angry due to the fact that they were being taxed. 
  • 1st continental congress 1774
  • We need to act now. The British will lead us to destruction. We must act NOW!
  • In 1773, Colonists were now furious due to the idea that they would be taxed for tea. They decided to dump all of the tea, in regards to their freedom and independence
  • Battle of Bunker Hill
  • FIRE!!!!
  • King closed Boston Harbor to everything but British troops. Colonists had to feed and watch over the troops without complaint 
  • 2nd Continental Congress and The Declaration of Independence.
  • Brought together representatives from each colony to discuss the response to the "Intolerable acts".
  • British troops sent to the fort were shot one by one by colonists. Americans won the battle
  • Delegates of each of the continents sent an olive branch to king George. On july 4th 50 men signed  the declaration of freedom from Britian. 
  • After the 2nd continental Congress, On July 4th 1776; 50 men signed the declaration of independence from Britain
