Hello, my name is Josh. i'm here to talk about safety with chemicals. To start off with PPE will be required.
To ensure we're being safe with chemicals we should have a clean bench with plenty of room to work, always read the labels to ensure you understand the risks and how to deal with the chemical.
lastly when returning the chemical into storage make sure it is sealed tightly and nothing has spilt over the container. The chemicals should be stored into a dry location, on the label it will say whether to store in a colder area or warmer area.
Also unsafe behavior would consist of food and drinks near the chemicals, this could result in food poisoning. If a chemical comes into contact with you immediately wash it off and alert a teacher. If the chemical gets in your eye tell the teacher immediately and they will escort you to the eye wash station.
I hope this has helped all of you on how to use chemicals safely and the risks it could come with.
