  • "Negro leaders sought to negotiate with the city fathers, but political leaders refused to engage in good-faith negotiation."
  • This proves that the white people would not go with peaceful negotiation
  • Dr. King shows that in the letter there has been beatings and people not treating each other equally.
  • A divided country cannot stand
  • If we all come together no matter what the color of our skin is we would all be okay and the country would be as good as it has ever been.
  • "We have waited for more than three hundred and forty years for our God-given and constitutional rights."
  • This proves that the white people never want the black people to ever get freedom and stop racism.
  • "Indeed, this is the purpose of ddirect action. Nonvilent direct actions seeks to create such a crisis and establish sch creative tension
  • Do not kill the innocent
  • We should not become murderers over the innocent because they are different color than you are
  • Dr. King is trying to say that by doing non-violent protests no more people will get hurt and nobody will get killed.
