  • Welcome class 
  • Isn't that the one with john smith the co founder of jamestown and william penn and english quaker.
  • Today we are learning about the thirteen colonies.
  • Roger williams was one of the people who helped start a seperate church in rhode island
  •  In the colonies there were people called puritans and separatist the puritans were people who wanted to purify the church and the other group wanted to have aseperate church from everyone
  • James oglethorpe  was the founder of georgia and this colony was used for  people in debt and they stayed there for pretection
  • The pilgrims were the ones who occupied these colonies.
  • While on the topic of puritans anne hutchinson was a puritan who disagreed  with the puritan church.
  • What about jonathan edwards he was a puritan who led people back to christianity
  • what about william bradford he was a pilgrim  who was also the second governor  he also developed land  and helped colonist get outta debt.
  • There was once with nathaniel bacon were he led 1000 farmers but later on he got sick and died so  the rebellion fell apart
