Pica is a eating disorder where someone can't stop eating things that have no nutritional value, such as dirt in Tyler's case.
The symptoms of Pica are malnutrition and just eating things that are not nutrition or food.
Doctors diagnose Pica by doing blood tests and checking for anemia and blockage. The only way to treat this is close medical monitoring and therapy.
Pica has been seen to be caused by a deficiency in any nutrient, a coping mechanism, enjoyment of textures or flavors, or to just feel full.
