The USS Maine is blown up like chicken teriyaki on a Sunday morning by an unknown reason. We blame it on the Spanish ,but really still have no idea of how it happened. It could of been fire that caught on to ammunition ,but we don't know for sure.
Even after our boat blowing up, William Mckinley still wants to stay away from war and keep peace. Everybody wants to go to war ,but he insists they shouldn't.
Congress finally decides to declare war on the Spanish and sends a demands to them. We had intents to help Cuba so we could be friends with them and get their goods that we really needed. We demanded to pay for the Maine, end to reconcentration camps, truce with Cuba, and Cuban independence.
