  • In the song, Jhene describes the time Miyagi visited her in her dremas, telling her to keep living..
  • "At 44 minutes to 4. An angel walked up to my door, opened the windows to my soul, told me he thinks that I should know..

  • ,Jhene Aiko is part Japanese. In the lyrics in the previous square she says " at 44 minutes til 4" In Japan 4, is a very unlucky number and is symbolic for death. She also has a song out named "3:16" (44 minutes til 4), focused on her depression and suicidal thoughts.
  • "this is for for my brother, I do this for my daughter."
  • Aiko also has a daughter named Namiko. She mentions that her daughter is one of the reasons why she keeps going.
  • "you have got to trust the signs, Everything will turn out fine"
  • Jhene accepts that everything happens for a reason, and there's always a lesson to it. Just go with the flow..

  • By the end of the song Jhene realizes that she must keep going, life is hard but what doesnt kill you makes you stronger.
