Abandoned Store front. The store closed because the area was becoming less populated. People moved out of the area.
Mosses and rye grass started to grow in the sidewalk cracks. Rain and cold weather caused there to be more and more cracks and erosion in the street and the building.
Birds and animals such as squirrels, rabbits, mice and even fox tracked in more and more seeds and a variety of plants began to grow. Most were weeds such as bull thistle, primrose and plaintains that sprouted up from cracks in the sidewalks and road.
Saplings such as Red Maple, White Oak and Norway Spruce start to grow from the new seeds.
The trees grow bigger and there begin to be less smaller plants as they block more light and use more nutrients.
A Climax community (Norway Spruce) begins to form where people used to walk and shop.
