Job was one of the greatest men in the East. He feared God and turned away from evil. He had 3 daughters, 7 sons and a wife. They lived on a farm with their many camels, sheep and donkeys.
Job was so wealthy that every year on his son's birthdays they would host feasts and have servants serve them whenever they needed.
Job would also make a burnt offering to God every day. It was to forgive his children for any sin they may have done or if they had cursed God in their heart.
One day Satan came to heaven with the angels to see God. God told Satan about Job saying "There is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil." Satan told God that this was because God gave him great privilege and protected all he had. Satan suggested that he should test Job's loyalty and faith by taking away all Job's possessions.
So, One day the servants came to Job and told him that the wind had collapsed the house that his family was eating in and that they were all dead. Another said that the Sabeans had killed and stolen the donkeys and stabbed the servants. A final servant came and said that the fire of God fell from heaven and burned the sheep. Job now had nothing.
Job fell to the ground, removed his robes and praised God saying, "Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Because Job didn't blame God for the evil he was not charged with sin.
