Perseus gathers the materials he needs to face Medusa. A cap of invisibility, a magic wallet, and a pair of magic sandals. Then him and Hermes go and get information on where Medusa is at from Grey Women by taking their eye, and telling them to tell him where Medusa is to get their eye back.
The Road Back
After Perseus acquired the information on the location of Medusa, he knew it would be a perilous task. But still though, he traveled with Hermes to the island of the Gorgons to slay Medusa. When they got there though, he did not know which Gorgon was Medusa.
After looking at three Gorgons, Perseus remembered that Medusa was the Gorgon in the middle was Medusa, and the other two were immortal. So while the Gorgons were asleep, he struck Medusa with his sword, killing her. Then after he had killed Medusa, Perseus put her head in his magic wallet, then planned to return to Polydecty's wedding.
Return with the Elixir
After Perseus had slain Medusa the other two Gorgons awoke and pursued Perseus. Although they could not find him because he was wearing the cap of invisibility and the magic sandals. This had made him fly away faster than the wind itself.
Perseus returned to Polydectes and when he showed up he showed the head of Medusa. He had showed Medusa's head because Polydectes didn't believe him. After he showed her head Polydectes turned into stone.
After Perseus returned to the wedding and turned Polydectes to stone, Kind Dictys became ruler of the island. Then Perseus sailed to Argos with his mother, Danaë, and his wife because they wanted to see King Acrisius.
