Storyboard Text

  • Andy does occasionally have outbursts at home, but usually only in situations that are entirely new for him.
  • I have noticed that his outbursts are often associated with tests or group projects, so perhaps he gets anxious in stressful situations. These are the strategies I have used to help address Andy's behaviour. I would be happy to hear any suggestions you might have!
  • Thank you, I appreciate it!
  • I will keep you updated on Andy's progress. He's very creative and has a lot to offer our class!
  • ABC Log
  • Make the parent(s) aware of positive and negative consequences and any interventions that have been used. Ask for their input.
  • Keep the parent(s) updated on interventions and supports and how the student responds to them.
  • Track student behaviour using, for example, an Antecedent-Behaviour-Consequence Log, and bring this to future parent meetings.
