Mr Smith, the principal of Wake County High School believes there needs to be stricter rules on bullying.A few days after the meeting Mr smith went to the house of representatives to try and get a law made about school bullying and how to punish kids who bully others. Representative McElreft sends the idea to a drafting committee where the bill is written in legal language.
The bill on bullying is presented to the General Assembly for its consideration. The reading Clerk reads aloud the name of the introducer, the bill number, and the bill title. At this point the bill has passed its first reading.
The bill is introduced to the committee where it will be assigned for careful study and recommendation. The committee approves the bill and it reports this fact and the bill is placed on the calendar
