  • A Bill to Pay Students that Attend School

  • The people bring the idea to their congressman. 
  • The representative sponsors the bill and puts the idea before congress. Once approved, the idea becomes a bill and receives a number.

  • The Speaker of the House refers the bill to the appropriate standing committee.  Here it is debated and reviewed for markup.
  • Subcommittee Calendar
  • Once the bill is voted favorable by the committee it is referred to a subcommittee and put on its calendar.
  • Bill
  • The subcommittee holds hearings where the bill is debated. The subcommittee makes recommendations to the full committee regarding the bill.
