Storyboard Text

  • Any knight who is brave enough, come chop my head off with my ax. However, in a year from now, I will get to do the same to you.
  • A man on a horse, both green, comes into the kingdom and offers any of Arthur's knights a challenge.
  • Nah, we'll pass.
  • All you knights are cowards!
  • After none of the knights accepted the challenge, King Arthur shows his courage.
  • Do not fear, I will accept your challenge!
  • No need, my King, I will protect you and carry out this task!
  • Then, in a humbling manner, a knight named Sir Gawain steps in.
  • Thank God.
  • Very well, let's get on with it!
  • Aha, now I will expect you a year from now so I may do the same to you. You are a coward if you do not keep your word!
  • Sir Gawain takes the ax and chops off the green knight's head. However, the man is still alive, picks up his head and speaks.
  • Well, this sucks.
  • Sir Gawain, due to your bravery in keeping your word, I will spare your life.
  • A year later, Sir Gawain goes to the Green Chapel to fulfill his promise. However, the Green Knight surprises him.
  • Thanks bud, I wasn't really trying to die.
  • I am actually the Lord of the Castle!
  • After Sir Gawain's life was saved, he finds out who the Green Knight really is.
  • No way! You got me good!
