King Minos was powerful king and demanded 7 young men and 7 young women from Athens to be sent to him every year for his Minitaor to feed on.
As the ship docked at Crete, Theseus bravely volunteered to be the first one to face the Minotaur. King Minos was surprised someone would quickly volunteer to die but let him enter. However, behind King Minos was his daughter, Ariadne, whom gave Theseus string so he could find his way out of the Labyrinth. If he defeated the beast.
One day, Theseus the prince of Athens decided to stop this. So he made a plan and said that when the next tribute had to be sent he would go as one of them and kill the Minotaur.
Theseus entered the Labyrinth rolling the string behind him. He wondered through the maze until he came face to face to the Minotaur. Encountering the Minotaur Theseus snapped his neck and the Minotaur was dead. Then he returned to the dock by following the string and saw Ariadne. She said "My father will kill me if he found out i helped you, you must take me to Athens, and we shall get married". He said "Ok.". But on the way to Athens Theseus realized Ariadne was ugly so he pushed her off the ship, letting her drown and proudly went back to Athens.
