Suddenly, Stacey tells everyone to get away from the road. Unfortunately, everyone got of the road except Little Man, who was scared he'd get dirty. But after a bus of white students drove by, he was even dirtier
When the student got their books, they were very excited. Unfortunately, though, Little Man saw the chart in his book showing that the used book was given to blacks and started screaming and stomping on his book. When Cassie realized what he was yellin' about, she also refused her book
After class, Cassie decided she would tell Mama what happened at school straight. However, Mrs. Crocker got there first and over-dramatically explained. But Mama just started ruining the seventh grade books, angering Mrs. Crocker. So Cassie thought she would talk to Mama later
