Storyboard Text

  • Innocent
  • "Are we poor Atticus?" Atticus nodded. "We are indeed."
  • Kind
  • "If you'll concede the necessity of going to school, we'll go on reading every night just as we always have. Is that a bargain?"
  • Curious
  • "Some tinfoil was sticking in a knothole just above my eye hastily looked around once more, reached into the hole, and withdrew two pieces of chewing gum minus the wrapper."
  • This shows Scouts innocence, since she is so young she does not know much.
  • Fiesty
  • "Its best to begin reading with a fresh mind. You tell him ill take over from here and try to undo the damage."
  • This shows the kindness and loving nature of their family, they all care about each other very much.
  • Smart
  • "Scout yonder's been readin ever since she was born and she ain't even started school yet.
  • When Scout is walking home, she sees a strange object in a tree, she is curious because she decides to explore the tree and eat the gum inside.
  • Sensitive
  • "Don't cry, now, Scout... dont cry now, you don't worry."
  • This is one of the several times scout gets into trouble at school, she has a  naturally feisty nature.
  • Most kids don't want to or cant read at her young age, and it is very impressive that she can.
  • When the kids try to put a letter into the knot hole and find it cemented, Scout begins to cry.
