  • I DON'T TO LISTEN TO YOU PARLIAMENT GOBERMOUCH's
  • FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!!!!!!
  • James I believed in Divine Right of Kings. Basically meaning that he believed he did not have to listen to Parliament when making decisions.
  • William please come overthrow the king.
  • The English Civil War begins. Supporters of the King were the Cavaliers or Royalist (blue soldiers). Supporters of Parliament were the Roundheads (red soldiers).
  • RUN AWAY JAMES!!!!!!
  • Oliver Cromwell leader of the Roundheads beheads King Charles. He then sets up a Military Democracy until his death in 1658. His army later restores England's Monarchy.
  • English Nobles try and encourage the ruler of the Neatherlands William of Orange to invade Europe and kick James II out. 
  • Considering James II lack of of support he flees away. Revolution ends with almost no bloodshed. William of Orange and his wife Mary take over as King and Queen.
  • The English Bill of Rights is written and the foundation for the Constitutional Monarchy is laid. Divine of Rights is destroyed with Monarchy and Parliament working effectively together.
