Equality explained that in the years in the Home of the Students it was hard. He exclaimed," It was that the learning was too easy" (Rand 21). He also proclaimed, " This is a great sin, to be born with a head which is too quick"(Rand 21).
We learned more about her when he started to describe, "Their body was straight and thin as a blade of iron"(Rand 39). He then went on to describe more about her saying, "Their hair was golden as the sun; their hair flew in the wind, shining and wild, as if it defied men to restrain it"(Rand 39). Her blonde hair is what gave her the nickname the Golden One.
In this chapter the most important part was when he discovered electricity. He felt that this discovery could get him in the House of Scholars.
In this chapter Equality starts to change and become more confident in trying to find more discoveries. He doesn't care about the consequences either.
After discovering electricity Equality then discovers the light bulb. He feels that this will help the society and help advance it as well. He also wants tot use this as a way to be apart of the House of Scholars.
He couldn't go to the tunnel because he would be found with his light so he went back to to the House of the Sweepers. When we went the home the council was questioning him of where he had been but he would not tell them for the sake of his discovery. They then took him to the Corrective Detention where he was to be whipped until he told the truth of where he had been.
