  • On April 30th 1789 in New York City Washington was inaugurated president of the U.S.
  • Whiskey Rebellion 
  • After the Revolution, America owed over 52 million dollars.
  • Problems in NW Territory
  • Here take this and use it against the colonists.
  • Hamilton suggests three parts of his plan which only two were accepted.
  • French Revolution
  • Everything is going badly!
  • A tax on whisky angers farmers and causes the whiskey rebellion so Washington sent a militia to take care of it
  • The British refused to leave their forts and gave the natives guns to use against the colonists.
  • France was dealing with a financial crisis, an economic depression, and the enlightenment which caused the French Revolution.
