No, I mean I am leaving for boarding school, but we can still be friends.
Yay, Another mission trip! Are you excited Katie?
Finally more work. I am ready for it. Let's hope there is not too much religion
Oh I definitely am!
Yes lets get this work done. Dry wall here. Lets drill that in here.
How is John Cole working so fast!!
Umph. This is heavy!
Previously on The Unit, The Rebirth: John Cole Lomax finally reveals his feelings for Allison Hanlon, but he receives a different response. Tragically causing him to question who he was and who God was, leaving the persona of The Unit in hiding.
Come on! I can show you real power like this?
JC, will you be my boyfriend?
Oooff. I've gotta get out of here. I am too weak against her powers.
Did she just ask that!?
God loves all people and we are supposed to show God's love to others too.
John Cole Lomax heads to Port Arthur for a Mission Trip with his church this year. Ready to help fix houses damaged by Hurricane Harvey. He notice a new girl on this trip, Katie.
Does God really love everyone and help them when they call to him?
God only loves those faithful to him!
When John Cole began worked on Mrs. Deborah's house, but John Cole let the Unit resurfaced. The Unit allowed John Cole to manipulate all their machinery with his mind. The other youth were in awe of the Unit's efficiency.
But Zoe, why can't he stay with us?
Why is Chris leaving us? Does he not like us anymore?
Hey Grace, I know your upset, but this is an exciting time for Chris. He is not leaving us. God's love is too large and connecting. I have a good story about me and a girl that can explain...
No, no Grace. Chris will still be around he just has a new position.
The next day, everyone was hanging out in a backroom, and Katie surprisingly asked out John Cole. John Cole was indecisive, but then Katie revealed herself to be Kataklysm, a feared villain with the power to manipulate and use fire. John Cole transformed into the Unit in fear, but he wanted to have Kataklysm's power. She tricke him and dealt a nearly deadly blow. The Unit fled crushed by his lack of prudence and inability to fight Kataklysm's evil.
The following night, John Cole realized he could not win because there was still the hole in him Allison left that not even the Unit could fix. He still felt God had left him hanging when Allison friend-zoned him, he needed to know if God still loved him after he failed the test with Kataklysm.
It is God's love that connects all of us. God will never abandon us, even if we think he has.
As John Cole ponders the opinions about love he heard that night by the river, he hears a girl crying and investigates to find his friend Grace crying and Zoe trying to console her. John Cole joins in to try to help, and he ends up telling the two his story with Allison. The three talk about break up stories and other stories all night. John Cole felt better after talking to them, like he wasn't so alone, but it wasn't just those two who became closer to his life that night, God infiltrated in too.
