Storyboard Text

  • Tybalt
  • What? You take out your sword and then talk about peace? I hate the word peace like I hate hell, all Montagues, and you. Let’s go at it, coward!
  • Benvolio
  • I’m only trying to keep the peace. Either put away your sword or use it to help me stop this fight.
  • In the public space
  • Part, fools! Put up your swords. You know not what you do
  • What, art thou drawn among these heartless hinds? Turn thee, Benvolio. Look upon thy death.
  • In the opening scene we see Tybalt enter.  He is a man who is quick to temper and quick to fight
  • In this scene we see that Benvolio is a peacemaker and is trying to stop a fight between the Capulet and Montague servants
  •  Tybalt is a character foil of Benvolio.  While Benvolio is quick to draw to stop a useless fight and bring peace, Tybalt is shown to be quick to anger and shows his eternal hatred towards Benvolio and his family
