  • Climax
  • Guilty
  • A black man named Tom Robinson was accused of raping a white women named Mayella Ewell and Atticus was asked to defend Tom in court because he is a lawyer. The people of Maycomb do not agree with Atticus for taking the case and this will put him and his family in danger of people who want to stop him from taking the case
  • Falling Action
  • When tension starts building up with the trial, Jem and Scout start to get more attention and learn important life lessons about the case and the real issues of their society. They develop new views about people in their town and how it should be fixed.
  • Resolution
  • Tom is found guilty even though evidence could prove Mayella's dad, Bob did it and Jem and Scout are shocked and angry. Atticus says there could still be hope for Tom to save him.
  • Bob's hatred towards Tom even after he was convicted of being guilty gets out of control and goes after Tom and then kills him. Tom's family was devastated.
  • Bob goes after Jem and Scout and Boo Radley their neighbor saves them by stabbing Bob with a knife and kills him. This was the first time anyone has ever seen Boo. Boo risked his life to save the kids. The serif knew Boo killed Bob but just said that Bob fell on his knife so Boo wouldn't get attention and there wouldn't be anymore assumptions about him from the town.
