Storyboard Text

  • What's wrong Daryl?
  • I'm scared of the loud thunder outside.
  • It'll be fine. The thunder is just an unconditional stimulus.
  • It's when something evokes an automatic response like fear.
  • What's that?
  • You're frightened by the sound of thunder. That's your response to the storm.
  • Which is the unconditional response.
  • i'm only scared of the loud Thunder.
  • It's a conditioned stimulus. You're now associating lightning and thunder together.
  • Thunder follows lightning, because light is faster than sound. If you see lightning, then there will be thunder.
  • What about the lightning?
  • Sometimes thunder won't be loud enough to scare you.
  • You might be scared of lighting now. It's the conditional response. You now know thunder will follow lightning.
  • Now i'm gonna be scared of lighting because, lightning=thunder.
