Non-veral communication. Good eye contact was made, facial expressions and I'm feeling relaxed.
This group was via online but used this set for explanation purposes.
Silence produced feeling of feeling awkwardness and my personal thoughts of her thinking I was not interested in what was she was speaking about or making her feel uncomfortable .
Even though it was awkward within the silence I did not let it show in my body language.
Silence did provide the client to continue with the conversation and it provided time to accumulate the issues for myself.I did find myself prompting a couple times to have her continue with the dialogue.
I was able to provide facial expressions. With subtle body posturing which improved my intention of being fully engaged in what she was saying. This also helped with the awkwardness I was feeling of being silent.
Silence provided me to focus on the problem she was trying to explain. It was a different experience .Online provided a bit of a challenge but was completed.
