When I say "space", you might imagine this, but in fact, space is referring to the placement, distribution and organisation of anything on earth.
Place refers to parts of the earth's surface. This can mean anyting from you bedroom, the local park, or a major world reigon.
Interconnection refers to how every thing, living or not living thing is connected. Nothing exists on its own. Some examples of this are the water cycle and processes such as migration ensure that everything on earth is somehow connected.
Change refers to the natural or manmade differences over time. Our earth is constantly changing. Some changes can be very fast and noticeable while others can be very subtle and occur over a long period of time such as millions of years.
Environment refers to all living and non living things. Some environtments are natural like forests and coral reefs, others are built or altered by humans like cities and towns.
Sustainability is the ongoing capacity of the earth to support and maintain all living things.
Scale is the size of an issue or problem. It can range from a simple household issue, an international or even a global, worldwide problem.
