Dear Aunt Martha, You'll never believe it! Last night, a mob went to the lieutenant governor's house. They burned his books and papers, stole his money, and even took his sister and daughter's clothes and put them on for fun! I think this isn't right. Many people were angry about the Stamp Act, but there are other ways to rebel other than violence.
I also think that it was a horrible thing to do. The mob took everything away from the lieutenants house and left him with nearly nothing. This attack will not help the cause to abolish the Stamp Act. Instead, I think that the British government will be very angry. Instead of using violence, I think a better way would be to protest out in the streets as a group.
