Storyboard Text

  •             The Northern Colonies
  • The Northern Colonies made money by shipping and trade.
  • The Southern Colonies
  • :(
  • The Southern Colonies made money by Farming and Agriculture. Slaves were forced to do their farming because they became tired of taking care of their own farm.
  • The difference between the two
  • :(
  • The Southern had many slaves to farm their crops and tobacco.
  • The North didn't have much farms, and lived with less slaves.
  • The people who lived in the northern colonies were self sufficient when it comes to farming because they didn't have huge farm land like the south. They couldn't grow enough crops to sell to other people so, most people just grew their crops for their own need.
  • The south didn't have a high population like the north, but had so much land. The south was able to do agriculture.  But, because citizen's farm land was so huge, they needed help, but didn't want to hire someone. This is how slaves became the center of money making at that time.
  • The north didn't have much farms because of the rocky soil unlike the south who's soil was rich and perfect for farming and agriculture.
