I'm going to write about my story so no one else feels alone.
In the beginning, Ponyboy feels alone. "I'm not like them. And nobody in our gang digs movies and books the way I do. For awhile I thought I was the only person in the world that did. (Hinton, 10)
Later, Cherry and Ponyboy walk home from the drive in together, and realize they have a lot in common. "We see the same sunset."
At the end of the novel, Ponyboy realizes that everybody feels lost or alone or misunderstood, and he decides to share his story so that others don't feel alone, too.
