  • Braddock's Defeat.
  • The British are making there way to the French. They have tons of artillery such as cannons and guns.
  • By: Jadyn O'Boyle
  • The French and Their Indian allies know that they can't take on the British. They know that the colonies have better equipment to do the job so they randomly sneak attack them.
  • The French's strategy was to use "gorilla warfare". This means that instead of lining up and taking shots they would just come from all over the place and kill left and right. The British were NOT used to it.
  • They were so vulnerable to the attack. They had no idea what to do. The soldiers wanted to fight like the french but General Braddock wouldn't let them. He just thought it looked stupid. George Washington thought otherwise.
  • EEEK!!
  • BOOM
  • There are rules that they had back then about warfare and one of them was that you could not shoot a general. But of course, everyone makes mistakes.
  • But sir we need to fight like them!
  • No Washington we are not...
  • Yep, you guessed it. Somebody accidentally shot Mr. Braddock. If you think about it though, he kind of deserved it. He called the Natives "savages", he was totally disrespectful to the colonists, and because he didn't let his men use gorilla warfare, a lot died.
  • OOF!
