Jackson was elected president in 1828. He saw himself as the representative of the common man president.
1836- Trail of tears
The tariff of abomination was a protective tariff passed by the the congress of the united states.
Worcester vs. Georgia was when the court ruled in the favor of the cherokees. This could not prevent Jackson from removing the cherokees. This delay in their move led to "The trail of tears".
The Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and migrate to an area in present day Oklahoma. The cherokee people called this "The trail of tears because their were many devestations along the way.
