Hi guys, it's Jodel again! Today we are discussing some comtempary issues in public health :)
Social Justice is the fair and equitable treatment of people. Therefore, fair distribution of wealth, opportunities, & healthcare to all people.
We'll start with social justice!
Health Equity: defined as the highest level of health for all people. It is simply, everyone deserves a fair chance to lead a healthy life.
Another term is health equity!
Social justice and health equity would be equal health care for all diverse cultures & people in the country. No one would be discriminated for or made to pay more for health care.
Articles 23: "Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just .. conditions of work". This relates to social justice by ensuring everyone has the same opportunity no matter gender or race.
Article 25: "Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health & well-being of himself & his family, including food, clothing, housing & medical care, etc.." This relates to social injustice & health equity by allowing for every family to be allowed a way to provide for themselves and given the same opportunities as others.
